Remembering Mr. Clifton Powell: A Dedicated Member of the Citrus Family
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Mr. Clifton Powell, a beloved member of the Citrus family. Mr. Powell joined Citrus Elementary in 2000 and recently retired in 2022, leaving behind a remarkable 31-year career with the Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) and 22 years of dedicated service as a custodian at Citrus.
Mr. Powell will always be remembered for his warm smile and loving spirit that touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He brought joy to the Citrus community and created a welcoming environment for students and staff alike.
During his time at Citrus, Mr. Powell made a lasting impact on the school community. His commitment to his work and his dedication to maintaining a clean and safe environment for students to learn in was truly admirable.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Powell’s family and friends during this difficult time. We will forever cherish the memories we shared with him and the positive influence he had on our school.
