Two brothers lost their lives after being attacked by three individuals during a dispute over parking a two-wheeler vehicle at a Navratri event celebration in Surat, according to the police. The incident occurred at around 12:30 am on Monday, when the dispute initially started over a parking issue. Three individuals confronted the brothers, Rahul Piple (28) and Praveen Piple (23), during the ongoing Garba event. Unfortunately, the situation escalated, and the brothers were attacked and fatally stabbed by these individuals, leading to their untimely demise.
An official stated that the attackers responsible for the tragic incident have been identified as Rahul alias Bablu, Karan alias Ajju, and Deepak alias Vishal. While Rahul is still on the run, the other two have been apprehended and arrested in connection with the double murder case.
Originally from Buldana, Maharashtra, the deceased brothers were residing in the Amroli area with their family. Rahul, the elder brother, leaves behind his wife and young son. He was working as a cobbler alongside his father, while Praveen was employed at a diamond company.
According to the police, the two brothers were participating in Garba festivities in a residential society when they were confronted by individuals who demanded the removal of a parked vehicle. The situation quickly escalated into a heated altercation, and later, three individuals attacked and fatally stabbed both brothers. Tragically, the younger brother lost his life while trying to protect the elder one.
The injured brothers were rushed to a hospital, but unfortunately, they succumbed to their injuries. This devastating incident has shocked the community and highlights the need for better conflict resolution and security measures during public events.
In an unrelated incident, a 63-year-old man was also killed over a parking dispute at a housing society in Mumbai, further emphasizing the importance of addressing such conflicts and implementing effective solutions to prevent loss of life.
