The incident occurred near the intersection of West Main Street and Nelco Ave around 12:40 p.m. that day, prompting a report to the Worcester County Communications Center.
Responding officers, Dave Carpenter and Arthur Ferreira, were provided with a detailed description of the suspect by the 69-year-old female victim. They later encountered a male individual on West Main Street, in close proximity to Twin City Cleaners, who matched the description given by the victim. The victim positively identified the man as the person who had broken into her car.
