Tragically, the lifeless body of a 17-year-old swimmer was discovered along a beach in South Florida on Tuesday, as reported by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
The young victim has been identified as Nick Alincy from Fort Pierce.
Following reports that he had gone missing after last being seen at Sea Turtle Beach in Jensen Beach, deputies immediately launched a search operation for Alincy on Monday. An eyewitness revealed that he had been “caught up in rough surf during an early morning swim, which was pulling him further out into the water,” according to official statements from the sheriff’s office.
In a meticulous search along the beach on Tuesday morning, Alincy’s body was discovered approximately 5 miles south from his last known location in the water, the deputies disclosed.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office expressed their deepest condolences to Alincy’s loved ones on Facebook. They also expressed gratitude towards all the first responder partners, including Martin County Fire Rescue, the US Coast Guard, Jupiter Island Police, FWC, as well as private vessel operators and citizens who tirelessly collaborated with the MCSO to locate Nick and provide closure for his family.
