A 41-year-old man from Talmo, Jesus Ruben Roman-Gil, has been arrested for his involvement in a drive-by shooting and stalking case. He faces multiple charges, including reckless conduct, aggravated stalking, aggravated assault, and possession of methamphetamine. WSB reported
A man from Talmo, Georgia, was taken into custody for his involvement in a drive-by shooting and stalking incident. According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the events unfolded when a resident on Turning Leaf Drive in Gillsville contacted 911 on Saturday evening, alleging that Jesus Ruben Roman-Gil, a 41-year-old Talmo resident, was repeatedly driving past their home. This individual also claimed that Roman-Gil was the same person who had fired shots at their house on Halloween afternoon.
Despite the resident’s report, law enforcement officers were unable to locate Roman-Gil at that time. However, approximately thirty minutes later, they spotted him in the neighborhood. Roman-Gil was pulled over and questioned, which ultimately led to his arrest.
Regarding the Halloween incident, Roman-Gil is now facing charges of misdemeanor reckless conduct and felony aggravated stalking in relation to a female victim residing on Turning Leaf Drive in Gillsville. Additionally, he has been charged with felony aggravated assault for firing a firearm towards the home of a male victim residing on the same street, albeit a different residence.
For the incident that occurred on November 3, Roman-Gil has been charged with misdemeanor stalking, criminal use of an article with an altered ID mark (specifically, the recovery of a weapon in his vehicle with a defaced serial number), and going inside the guard line with a weapon, liquor, or drugs.
During the booking process at the jail, authorities discovered 1.2 grams of methamphetamine concealed within a dollar bill in Roman-Gil’s pants pocket, resulting in an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine.
