Four undertrials escaped from Sangamner Sub-Jail in Ahmednagar district. The Ahmednagar police are searching for the accused, and citizens are urged to provide any information. Four undertrials managed to escape from the Sangamner Sub-Jail in Ahmednagar district during the early hours of Wednesday. The Ahmednagar police have initiated a search operation to locate and apprehend the four accused. In order to gather any information about the fugitives, the police have requested citizens to contact them at the phone number 02425225333.
The escapees have been identified as Rahul Devidas Kale, who was arrested in 2020 by the Sangamner taluka police for a murder case. Roshan Ramesh Dadel, another undertrial, was arrested in 2021 by the Sangamner city police on charges of rape. Anil Chhabu Dhole, who was also arrested in 2021 by the Sangamner city police, is facing charges in a separate rape case. The fourth escapee, Macchindra Manaji Jadhav, was arrested by the Ghargaon police for an attempted murder case.
According to Sangamner Tehsildar Dhiraj Manjare, who is responsible for the sub-jail, all four accused were confined in the same barrack. At approximately 6:45 am, they managed to cut through the window rod of the barrack and flee. It is worth mentioning that the sub-jail has a capacity to accommodate 24 inmates, but at the time of the incident, there were 56 inmates present.
The process of filing a First Information Report (FIR) against the four escapees is currently underway. Additionally, search teams have been dispatched in various directions in an effort to locate and apprehend the fugitives. The authorities are determined to ensure that these undertrials are brought back into custody to face the charges against them..
