A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in his home in Ramona, San Diego. The victim, identified as Eduardo Aguilar Alba, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is currently conducting an investigation into a homicide that occurred in Ramona. On Friday, the department received a call around 5 p.m. reporting a deceased individual at a residence on the 400 block of 16th Street. Lieutenant Joseph Jarjura stated that upon arriving at the scene, deputies spoke with the person who made the call and discovered the body.
The reporting party informed deputies that they had found their brother, identified as 26-year-old Eduardo Aguilar Alba, dead in his home under suspicious circumstances. Authorities conducted a thorough search of the residence and found Alba unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alba’s body was subsequently taken to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The preliminary cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the head, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
As of now, the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Details regarding the motive, circumstances, and possible suspects remain unclear at this stage.
