Ian Gary Connell, a 39-year-old resident of Duke Street in Bolton, is set to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, facing charges related to the death of 45-year-old Donald “Prentice” Patience. The Greater Manchester Police (GMP) revealed that officers were called to a property on Ainsworth Road in Radcliffe, Bury, at approximately 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday following reports of a burglary, during which a white labradoodle dog was stolen.
Investigations by the police have since determined that Mr. Patience had been deceased for several days, although the exact cause of his death is still being probed. In connection with the incident, two other individuals, aged 27 and 41, were apprehended on suspicion of murder. However, they have been released on bail to facilitate further inquiries.
The family of Mr. Patience has been left devastated by the loss, describing him as a cherished son, brother, and father who will be deeply missed by many. As the investigation continues, the house on Ainsworth Road remains cordoned off, with forensic officers frequently entering and exiting the premises. A touching display of flowers has been left by the back wall of the house, serving as a poignant tribute to the departed.
Meanwhile, the stolen labradoodle is currently under the care of the relevant authority, as confirmed by the police. The rules ensure that the dog receives the necessary attention and care it deserves.
As the case progresses, the court appearance of Ian Gary Connell will shed further light on the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Donald “Prentice” Patience. In collaboration with other relevant agencies, the GMP will continue its meticulous investigations to uncover the truth and seek justice for the grieving family.
