At precisely 2:46 PM this afternoon, a distressing incident unfolded in the 9600 block of South Hosmer, where one of our diligent detectives was tragically shot while engaging in contact. In light of this unfortunate event, our Public Information Officer (PIO) has been stationed at the Tacoma Police Department Headquarters to address any media inquiries promptly.
At 2:46 PM one of our detectives was shot while on a contact in the 9600 block of South Hosmer. Our PIO is at TPD HQ for all media inquiries. Details are few at this time but, information is that the Detective is in stable condition.
