The murder case of a young man in Okara, which occurred three years ago, has finally been solved by the police. The wife of the deceased, Mukhtaran Bibi, and her acquaintance, Aslam, have been arrested for the crime. The City Circle Police made the arrests and also recovered the murder weapon on Friday.
According to DPO Mansoor Aman, the victim, Razzaq, was killed in Shadman Colony three years ago. Mukhtaran Bibi and Aslam allegedly drugged Razzaq, rendering him unconscious. They then proceeded to slit his throat and brutally dismember his body before disposing of it in two sacks. To avoid arousing suspicion, Mukhtaran Bibi even reported her husband missing to the police at that time.
The brother of the deceased, Gulzar, had strong suspicions about Mukhtaran and Aslam being involved in his brother’s murder. He informed the police, leading to the arrest of both the accused. During the investigation, they confessed to the crime. Additionally, the police recovered the murder weapon and initiated further inquiries.
In a separate incident in Bahawalnagar, a double murder case was also solved recently. The victims, a couple, were killed with knives due to a long-standing grudge. Their bodies were discovered during the advanced stage of decomposition. The use of geo-fencing technology played a vital role in capturing the assailant.
In another case, the decomposed bodies of a man and a woman, identified as Master Fateh Muhammad and Ishrat Bano, were found in a locked house in Mohalla Tajpura. The murders were estimated to have taken place around four days prior. The accused, Sarfraz Hijazi, was apprehended with the help of modern technology, including CDRs and geo-fencing.
The District Police Officer (DPO), Naseebullah, stated that the police traced phone numbers that were in contact with the victims. One particular number was repeatedly opened and closed immediately after the incident, leading the police to trace the signal and identify Sarfraz Hijazi, who had met the victims before turning off his phone. Hijazi, a resident of the same street, fled to Lahore after committing the murders. However, the police successfully tracked him down and arrested him after raiding a location in Lahore.
Overall, these cases highlight the effectiveness of modern investigative techniques and technology in solving criminal cases. The police’s dedication and thoroughness in their investigations have led to the arrest of the perpetrators and brought justice to the victims and their families..
