Beverly Hills police have made an announcement regarding the arrest of two suspects believed to be connected to a series of armed robberies that have been occurring in Los Angeles and Orange County over a period of four months. The Beverly Hills Police Department stated that the robberies mainly targeted individuals who possessed luxury watches and jewelry. Additionally, there was a connection to a home invasion robbery in the city of Brea.
Investigators discovered that the group of suspects, who had already been arrested in relation to robberies involving firearms, were potentially linked to numerous other crimes that were ongoing throughout Southern California. Consequently, they began coordinating efforts with various law enforcement agencies including the Santa Monica Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, LA IMPACT, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
After executing multiple search warrants in California and Flagstaff, Arizona, the investigators were able to identify suspects responsible for at least six robberies that took place in Los Angeles County. During the arrests, detectives successfully recovered property taken from a robbery in Beverly Hills, which also provided crucial leads for their ongoing investigation. Additionally, the police seized six guns, including assault weapons, as well as stolen luxury watches and jewelry.
The two suspects have been identified as 21-year-old Justice Bloodworth from Los Angeles and 23-year-old Cameron Woods-Harvey from Long Beach. Both remain in custody following their arrests. Bloodworth has been charged with four counts of robbery, one count of conspiracy, and one count of felony reckless evading. He was already out on bail for a series of previous armed robberies when the additional crimes were committed. Woods-Harvey is facing three counts of conspiracy and two weapons charges. He was arrested in Arizona on October 27 and is currently awaiting extradition to Los Angeles County.
Anyone with additional information about these crimes is urged to contact the investigators at the Beverly Hills Police Department.
