A man was fatally shot in Dakshin Ekwana village near Tetariya Mor in Bhojpur district on Friday night. The victim, identified as Ramayan Singh alias Ramayan Yadav, had warned a group of youths not to loiter in his cowshed. His son, Sintu, narrowly escaped the gunfire. Ramayan was rushed to Sadar Hospital Ara and later transferred to a hospital in Patna for better treatment, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries during the journey. The Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kumar Yadav, informed the media that an FIR has been filed against three individuals, and efforts are underway to apprehend them. Initial investigations indicate that the accused, who were acquainted with the deceased, were causing a disturbance and eating snacks in his cowshed. When Ramayan asked them to leave, they responded by firing at him, hitting him in the back. The Assistant Superintendent of Police, Chandra Prakash, stated that the technical team is assisting in the investigation, conducting raids in nearby villages, and tracing the mobile number of the main suspect. Sintu, recounting the incident, mentioned that upon returning from his tuition, he found a group of youths eating in the cowshed. When his father asked them to leave, they assaulted him. Sintu attempted to escape but was stopped, and the assailants fired indiscriminately, injuring his father. They also fired at Sintu, but he managed to evade the bullets.
