Police in Washington D.C. have taken into custody a 13-year-old boy and formally charged him with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his father.
The incident unfolded on Sunday, November 12, when officers from the Third District responded to a distress call reporting a man in distress within a building located on 16th Street NW in Columbia Heights, as stated in an official news release.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the victim, identified as 41-year-old Travis Dash, suffering from puncture wounds, tragically succumbing to his injuries at the scene, according to police reports.
After thorough investigation, authorities have determined that the incident involves domestic circumstances.
