Police have announced that murder charges will be filed against 43-year-old Terrance Washington, the suspect in a double shooting incident in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The shooting occurred on Monday in a driveway on Dayspring Trace, where 20-year-old Daqwayvious Kleckley and his mother were shot. The police responded to a domestic dispute call and upon their arrival, they heard gunshots. Initially, both victims were reported to have life-threatening injuries, but unfortunately, Kleckley succumbed to his injuries almost a week later. His mother is still in the hospital receiving treatment.
Authorities are now treating the shooting as a homicide and will investigate the incident further. Detectives believe that Washington knew the victims and the motive behind the shooting appears to be domestic-related, as the suspect had a previous relationship with Kleckley’s mother. Washington was apprehended several hours after the shooting in Warner Robbins and is now facing charges of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft by taking.
