A 28-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after leading police on a pursuit and ramming a patrol car multiple times. The incident began when an officer from the Greenbrier Police Department attempted to pull over the suspect’s vehicle on Springfield Highway. However, the suspect fled from the officer twice, reaching speeds of at least 55 miles per hour. The officer suspected that the driver was impaired due to their evasive actions.
During the pursuit, the suspect intentionally collided with the officer’s vehicle twice. The chase eventually came to an end when a Metro Nashville police officer witnessed the suspect crashing into the patrol car on Red Oak and Hillwood Boulevard in Davidson County. The Metro officer strategically made contact with the suspect’s vehicle to prevent their escape.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old John Kinloch, was apprehended and found to be under the influence of alcohol according to the Greenbrier officer. Kinloch was then transported back to Greenbrier, but he also faced charges in Davidson County.
Kinloch has been charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon from a motor vehicle. He was subsequently booked into Metro Jail on Sunday, November 12..
