A tragic incident occurred in North Redondo Beach on Sunday morning, November 12, resulting in the death of a woman and the arrest of a man on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The Redondo Beach police received a call around 9:35 a.m. reporting a single-car crash at the intersection of Lilienthal and Alvord lanes. Upon arrival, Lieutenant Mark Valdivia discovered a vehicle that had crashed. Unfortunately, the woman driving the car lost her life at the scene, while the male passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The passenger, identified as Jacob Jordan Nimz, a 34-year-old resident of North Dakota, was expected to be arrested after receiving medical care. The exact details surrounding Nimz’s alleged actions that led to his arrest have not been released yet, as the police are still in the process of investigating the incident.
At this point, it is unclear how many individuals were in the vehicle when the crash occurred. The police have refrained from disclosing the name of the deceased woman until her relatives have been notified.
The circumstances of the crash remain unknown, prompting the Redondo Beach Police Department’s Fatal Accident Investigation Team to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause and other relevant factors contributing to the incident.
