Two Teens Arrested and Charged for Stealing Multiple Cars in Memphis
In a recent development, the Memphis Police Department has successfully apprehended and charged two teenagers in connection with a series of car thefts that occurred in the area. The stolen vehicles, all valued at over $10,000, were reported between November 5 and November 8.
Following these reports, law enforcement authorities initiated an extensive search operation in the Colonial Road vicinity, where they suspected the missing cars may be located.
As part of their investigation, the police ran the license plate of a vehicle that was spotted in the parking lot of the Target store on Colonial Road. It was soon discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen, prompting the officers to initiate a traffic stop.
However, instead of complying with the police, the suspects chose to evade capture and accelerated at a high speed, leading to a dramatic car chase.
Eventually, the two individuals, identified as Mario Pree and Demario Wilson, abandoned the stolen vehicle and managed to escape from the scene.
Through meticulous investigation, it was determined that both Wilson and Pree were responsible for the string of car thefts reported in November.
Consequently, the Memphis Police Department successfully apprehended and took Wilson and Pree into custody. They are currently facing charges related to theft of property and evading arrest.
