KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting an investigation into a fatal knife attack and are actively searching for a suspect involved.
According to KCPD Police Captain Corey Carlisle, the incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Friday when police were dispatched to 24th and Elmwood in Kansas City following a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a man, later identified as 53-year-old Bryan D. Hoover, who had sustained severe bodily injuries. The officers immediately provided him with first aid until EMS arrived at the scene. The victim was then transported to a nearby hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the homicide was the unfortunate outcome of a heated argument. As of now, no suspects have been taken into custody, and detectives are actively searching for a person of interest in connection with the crime.
