Man Accused of Reckless Discharge of Firearm in Palatine, Illinois
PALATINE, Ill. – A Cook County man is facing charges for allegedly firing multiple rounds into the air from a firearm in September.
Zaurbek Bogov, a 29-year-old resident of Palatine, has been charged with one count of reckless discharge of a firearm.
On September 9, local police responded to a report of gunshots fired into the air in the 1200 block of East Prairie Brook Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered several spent shell casings at the scene, but the suspect was not present.
The shell casings were collected and sent to the Illinois State Police crime lab for analysis, leading to the identification of Zaurbek Bogov as the perpetrator.
Bogov voluntarily turned himself in on Tuesday and was subsequently charged.
He was brought to the Cook County 3rd District Courthouse, where he was ordered to be held until his next hearing scheduled for December 1.
