A man was fatally shot in Carrick, Pittsburgh, during the early hours of the morning, as reported by Pittsburgh Public Safety. Upon receiving reports of a shooting, the Pittsburgh police arrived at the 1900 block of Brownsville Road after 1:30 a.m. They discovered a 28-year-old man on a porch, suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and shoulder. Sadly, the victim, identified as Cole Kerns from East McKeesport by the Office of the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to witnesses, an altercation occurred between the victim and another man before the shooting took place. The suspect then fled the scene, leaving the authorities to investigate the incident. Detectives from the Violent Crime Unit are currently working on the case.
