SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic shooting incident that occurred in Wichita. They are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, identified as Luis Jackson, as stated in a recent Crime Stoppers report.
According to Officer Juan Rebolledo, the incident took place in the early hours of September 10th, shortly after 2 a.m. The police received a distress call reporting a shooting at a residence located in the 4000 block of West Memory Lane in Wichita.
Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered 19-year-old Zyles James of Wichita in an unconscious state, with gunshot wounds to both his upper and lower body. Immediate life-saving measures were administered by the officers until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services. James was then swiftly transported to a local hospital, where, tragically, he was later pronounced dead.
In addition to James, another victim was found at the scene, having sustained a graze wound to the arm. This individual was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention and was subsequently released after receiving treatment.
