The tweet by Plebeian Revolt highlights the fact that Jesus brought about a change in the narrative of salvation, which differed from the expectations of the Jews. The tweet also mentions the practice of praying to the Lord in Jesus’ name and asking the Saints to pray for us. However, it clarifies that praying to anyone who has died is not done arbitrarily and involves a specific process.
The concept of Jesus changing the narrative of salvation is an important aspect of Christian theology. It signifies that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection brought about a new way for humanity to attain salvation. This new way was different from what the Jews had expected based on their understanding of the Old Testament scriptures. By sacrificing himself on the cross, Jesus fulfilled the requirements for salvation and opened the door for all believers to have a personal relationship with God.
The tweet also mentions the practice of praying to the Lord in Jesus’ name. This is a common practice among Christians, as Jesus taught his disciples to pray in his name. It signifies that believers approach God through Jesus as their mediator and advocate. By praying in Jesus’ name, Christians acknowledge his role as the bridge between humanity and God.
Another aspect mentioned in the tweet is asking the Saints to pray for us. In some Christian traditions, Saints are revered as holy individuals who have lived exemplary lives and are believed to be in the presence of God. Believers may seek their intercession and ask them to pray on their behalf. This practice is based on the belief that the Saints, being close to God, have a special connection and influence in heaven.
However, the tweet clarifies that praying to anyone who has died is not done arbitrarily. It implies that there is a specific process or discernment involved in seeking the intercession of the Saints. This process may vary between different Christian denominations and may involve criteria such as the person’s holiness, miracles attributed to them, and official recognition by the Church.
In conclusion, the tweet by Plebeian Revolt highlights the transformative role of Jesus in changing the narrative of salvation. It emphasizes the practice of praying to the Lord in Jesus’ name and seeking the intercession of the Saints. However, it also clarifies that praying to anyone who has died is not done arbitrarily and involves a specific process. These concepts are important aspects of Christian theology and practice..

There’s a component of that yes. Jesus changed the narrative and salvation looks different than what the Jews expected. We pray to the Lord in Jesus’ name. We ask the Saints to pray for us. We also don’t arbitrarily pray to anyone who has died. There’s a process to it.
