Police Apprehend Nitin, a Repeat Offender Recently Released from Jail
Cracking a snatching case within hours, authorities in Chandigarh managed to swiftly apprehend a 21-year-old youth named Nitin from Baltana. Nitin had snatched a man’s mobile phone in Burail on Thursday, but was caught soon after.
The accused, Nitin, who had recently been released from jail for a similar offense, was swiftly identified by the police.
The victim, Shiv Ram Yadav, had reported that two individuals riding a motorcycle snatched his mobile phone near Hotel Surya in Burail on Thursday.
Acting on received information, the police arrested Nitin on Friday, while efforts to apprehend his accomplice were still ongoing, stated Inspector Baldev Singh, SHO of Sector 34 police station.
“The accused is a repeat offender with a dozen cases registered against him. He was recently released on bail after being arrested in a previous snatching case,” explained the SHO.
