A 40-year-old man named Mani Kumar has been arrested in connection with a robbery that took place at a private bank in Lalgang, Bihar, where Rs 1 crore was stolen. Kumar, who had previously been involved in three bank robberies, was working at a cafe in Connaught Place before recently starting as a security guard at the cafe. He had been working there for the past 10 days.
On August 8 of this year, four armed robbers entered the bank and stole the money at gunpoint before fleeing the scene. An FIR (First Information Report) was filed, and the Bihar Police initiated an investigation into the incident. It was later discovered on November 28 that Kumar, one of the suspects, was hiding in a parking lot near the Red Fort. The police searched over 30 parking lots and other locations, but initially found no clues. However, they eventually obtained a lead and apprehended Kumar at a cafe.
According to Manoj Kumar Meena, DCP of North Delhi, the accused fled to Nepal after committing the crime and later arrived in Delhi. The police are now in the process of further investigating the case.
