26-Year-Old Alaska Man Charged with 2022 Murder in Portland’s Lloyd District
A 26-year-old man from Alaska has been officially charged with the murder of 33-year-old Nick Henderson in Portland’s Lloyd District, as announced by the Portland Police Bureau.
The incident took place on November 4, 2022, when law enforcement responded to a welfare check call at the Lloyd Center parking lot. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of Nick Henderson, who had succumbed to multiple stab wounds.

Detectives working on the case identified a person of interest, Jeffery Joseph McNeill. However, they soon discovered that McNeill was already in custody at Clackamas County Jail on unrelated charges.
Following the issuance of an arrest warrant for McNeill, he was transferred to Multnomah County custody on Friday. He has now been booked on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
The investigation is still ongoing, and the police have chosen not to disclose any further details about the case at this time.
