A 24-year-old woman named Arati Patil, who resides in Ulhasnagar Camp Number 1, recently underwent a successful surgery to remove a 2.5 kg cyst from her abdomen. She had been experiencing acute pain in her abdominal region for the past two months. Initially, she suspected that she might be pregnant due to the missed monthly periods, but pregnancy tests turned out to be negative. Upon further examination through a sonography scan, it was discovered that she had a cyst in her ovaries.
On November 23, Arati Patil was admitted to Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar due to the unbearable pain. The doctors at the hospital immediately recommended surgery to remove the cyst. The operation took around three hours and was performed using laparoscopic techniques. Dr Trupti Rokade, one of the attending doctors, mentioned that the surgery was challenging because the cyst was attached to the ovary, which could have potentially affected Patil’s future maternity plans.
During the surgery, the doctors successfully removed the 2.5 kg cyst, leaving Patil with three stitches. It is worth noting that the entire procedure was carried out free of cost at a government hospital. This case highlights the importance of timely medical intervention and the expertise of the medical team in diagnosing and treating such conditions.
It is crucial for individuals to seek medical attention promptly when experiencing persistent pain or unusual symptoms, as early detection and treatment can prevent further complications. The successful outcome of Arati Patil’s surgery demonstrates the effectiveness of modern medical techniques in addressing complex cases..
