The Transformation in Christ
No one remains unchanged when they are saved in Christ. This transformation is not just a possibility but a certainty according to God’s word. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV), it is written, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This verse beautifully illustrates the profound change that occurs when someone accepts Christ into their life.
A New Creation
When a person becomes a believer in Christ, they are not simply given a fresh start or a chance to improve themselves. Instead, they are completely transformed from the inside out. The old self, with its sinful nature and destructive patterns, is put to death, and a new creation is born.
Old Things Pass Away
With this new life in Christ, the old things that once defined and held us captive are no longer relevant. Our past mistakes, regrets, and sins are forgiven and forgotten. The power of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross sets us free from the bondage of our former selves.
All Things Become New
As we surrender our lives to Christ, He begins a beautiful work of renewal within us. Our thoughts, desires, attitudes, and behaviors undergo a radical transformation. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a life that is pleasing to God, filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Therefore, if you have found salvation in Christ, take heart! You are not the same person you once were. Embrace the truth of God’s word, hold onto the promises He has made, and allow the transformative power of the Holy Spirit to continue shaping you into the image of Christ.

No one saved, that is, in Christ, remains the same. That’s impossible according to God’s word!
