Remembering CWO3 Ollie Babbits: A WWII Veteran and Honoree
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CWO3) Ollie Babbits, a true American hero and our honored guest at the 2023 Luncheon. Chief Babbits, who recently passed away, was one of the very few surviving US Army veterans of the historic Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II.
Chief Babbits’ remarkable service and bravery during one of the most critical battles in WWII history will forever be remembered. He fought alongside his comrades with unwavering courage and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on the annals of military history.
