#Raleigh Fire Captain Nathan Burgess Passes Away After Battling Cancer
On Sunday, November 12, 2023, Captain Nathan Burgess, a dedicated fireman from #Raleigh, lost his 18-month battle with cancer at the age of 49. The news of his passing has left the firefighting community mourning the loss of a brave and selfless individual.
A memorial service has been scheduled to honor Captain Burgess on Sunday, November 19, at 3:00 p.m. The service will take place at the Johnston Community College Auditorium located in Smithfield. Family, friends, colleagues, and members of the community are invited to join and pay their respects.
