Two individuals have been apprehended by the Fort Myers Police after committing a robbery on two pedestrians who were on their way home. The incident took place on Prospect Avenue, which prompted the authorities to respond immediately.
Upon arrival, the Fort Myers Police were informed that the victims had been approached by an older-looking sedan while walking home from a nearby store. The two suspects, identified as Keodrick Divox and Tra’von Thornton, allegedly brandished a black handgun and forcibly took bags from both victims.
Following the robbery, the suspects swiftly entered the sedan and fled the scene. However, the Fort Myers Police officers acted promptly, locating a vehicle that matched the description provided. They conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Woodside Avenue and Van Buren Street.
Both Divox and Thornton were taken into custody and subsequently charged with robbery with a firearm. They were then transported to the Lee County Jail.
