The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal multi-vehicle crash in Lawrence, Kansas. The crash occurred on Kansas Highway 10 and involved a 2017 Dodge SUV and a 2023 Nissan Sentra. The crash occurred on Kansas Highway 10 or U.S. 40 Highway, close to the intersection with Wakarusa Drive. The driver of a 2017 Dodge SUV was traveling west on K-10 when she crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided with a 2023 Nissan Sentra traveling east. A third vehicle ran over debris on the road. The driver of the Nissan, identified as 58-year-old Paul C. Duncan, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge and three juvenile passengers sustained injuries. The driver of the third vehicle involved also suffered minor injuries. The crash is being investigated by the Kansas Highway Patrol, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, and Lawrence Police Department..

Additionally, another vehicle ran over debris on the road at the time of the accident. Tragically, the driver of the Nissan, identified as 58-year-old Paul C. Duncan from Lawrence, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt. The 27-year-old driver of the Dodge was also wearing a seat belt and sustained suspected serious injuries. The Dodge also had three juvenile passengers, but their information is being withheld due to privacy regulations. The driver of the third vehicle involved suffered minor injuries.
