A suspect named Corey Deshotel was arrested by the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) after pointing a handgun at officers during a disturbance. Deshotel was taken into custody without incident and now faces charges of Felony Menacing and Prohibited Use of a Weapon. Brett Yager reported
Suspect Arrested After Disturbance in Colorado Springs
On Tuesday, November 14th, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call regarding a disturbance. The incident took place in the overnight hours, prompting officers to respond promptly.
According to CSPD, at approximately 1 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Half Turn Road, which is located south of Austin Bluffs Parkway and North Academy Boulevard. As law enforcement arrived at the scene, one individual involved in the disturbance had already left the area.
While officers were conducting their investigation, another suspect, later identified as Corey Deshotel, emerged from the apartment where the disturbance had occurred. Deshotel was seen brandishing a handgun and pointing it down the hallway, towards the officers. After briefly retreating back into the apartment, Deshotel reemerged into the hallway and was subsequently apprehended by the officers without any resistance or further incident.

Fortunately, no officers were harmed during the incident, and the handgun was successfully recovered. Corey Deshotel was taken into custody and charged with Felony Menacing and Prohibited Use of a Weapon.
