On Monday night, an alarming threat targeting Buford High School in Gwinnett County led to the implementation of lockdown protocols and the subsequent arrest of a suspect.
Officials from Buford City Schools were promptly informed about the threat, prompting them to put all Buford City Schools on a soft lockdown the following day. Fortunately, the lockdown has now been lifted.
Law enforcement authorities arrested the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Michael Daniel Pecoits, on Tuesday morning. However, the exact details of the threat have not been disclosed by the school district.
