TULARE, Calif. (KGPE/KSEE) – A tragic incident occurred in Tulare, where a 41-year-old woman lost her life after being hit by a vehicle. The driver, a 46-year-old man, was apprehended by the city’s police department on charges of felony hit and run.
Collision Details
The Tulare police department received a distress call reporting a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the 100 block of W Inyo in Tulare on Friday evening at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Upon reaching the scene, the responding officers immediately initiated life-saving procedures on the victim. Despite their efforts, the 41-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, as confirmed by the authorities.
Driver Flees and Returns
Following the accident, the driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene initially but returned shortly afterward. Identified as 46-year-old Felix Octavio Brambila Gonzalez, a resident of Tulare, the driver was taken into custody by the police. Notably, the investigation conducted thus far suggests that drugs or alcohol did not contribute to the collision.
Arrest and Ongoing Investigation
