Tragic Hunting Accident Claims the Life of Dylan Evans in Red Owl, South Dakota
RED OWL, S.D. (KOTA) – The Meade County Sheriff’s Office responded to a distressing incident on November 12, Sunday, at 2:30 pm, when they received a report of a hunter being shot in an area north of Red Owl, South Dakota.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Dylan Evans, a 30-year-old resident of Piedmont SD, who had suffered a single gunshot wound while traversing a field. Evans had been hunting alongside several individuals, including minors, when the tragic incident occurred. Regrettably, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Rapid response units from the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks, as well as the Enning Ambulance Service, were promptly dispatched to the location.
As authorities continue their investigation, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under scrutiny.
