Man from Ethel, Mississippi, Dies in Three-Vehicle Crash in Scott County
SCOTT COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) – A tragic incident occurred in Scott County on Saturday night, resulting in the death of a Mississippi man. The crash, which involved three vehicles, took place on Highway 25 shortly after 6 p.m.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Tundra were heading south on Hwy. 25 when they collided with a Chevrolet 1500 that had come to a halt on the highway for reasons yet to be determined. Tragically, the occupant of the Chevy, identified as Richard Harlos, a 60-year-old resident of Ethel, Miss., lost his life in the accident.
The other drivers involved in the collision were identified as Demando Mingo, a 45-year-old from Philadelphia, and Thomas Freeny, an 80-year-old from Brandon.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the crash to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the incident.
