Oklahoma City Police have identified the suspect, Azjaynee Owens-Bey, who was shot and killed during an officer-involved shooting on November 9. The suspect was pointing a gun at multiple people before running inside a building and firing at officers. The suspect was shot and killed by an officer in response. The investigation is ongoing. Oklahoma City Police have released the identity of the suspect who was shot and killed during an officer-involved shooting on November 9th. The incident began as a domestic call but quickly escalated when officers arrived at the scene near NE 12th Street and Lottie Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers encountered 31-year-old Azjaynee Owens-Bey outside, brandishing a gun and threatening multiple individuals. Realizing the presence of law enforcement, Owens-Bey fled into a nearby building, continuing to point his firearm at innocent people.
As officers entered the lobby of the building, Owens-Bey turned his weapon towards them and fired a shot. In response, one of the officers returned fire, ultimately killing Owens-Bey. Fortunately, there were no other reported injuries.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing..
