Utah State Football announced that its players wore a helmet sticker in remembrance of Shelley Compton, who tragically passed away after being struck by a pickup truck while jogging in Logan. Compton was jogging westbound when she cut across eastbound lanes and was hit by the truck. She was transported to the hospital but sadly died. The driver of the truck was unharmed. Utah State Football Honors Woman Fatally Struck by Truck in Logan
LOGAN, Utah (ABC4) — Utah State Football announced that its players wore a helmet sticker on November 11 to remember Shelley Compton, a 58-year-old North Logan resident who tragically lost her life after being struck by a pickup truck.

On November 6, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Shelley Compton was jogging westbound on 1400 North, near 750 East, when she was tragically struck by a Dodge Dakota pickup truck.
The Utah Department of Public Safety reported that the pickup truck was traveling eastbound and had just passed a semi before moving back to the right lane. At that moment, Compton cut south across the eastbound lanes and was struck by the Dodge.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, Compton sadly succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Dodge pickup truck did not sustain any injuries, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
