The incident occurred at 5:22 p.m. on Saturday and the individual involved has been identified as 26-year-old John Mark Santos Aquino, a resident of Naguilian, Isabela. Aquino, who is an overseas Filipino worker and works as a security guard, collided with a motorcycle upon landing along Ortigas Avenue Flyover, causing damage to the vehicle and injuring its driver and passenger. He sustained multiple injuries to various parts of his body and was immediately taken to the Victor R. Potenciano Medical Center by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Medical responding team. Aquino was later transferred to the Mandaluyong City Medical Center for further medical treatment.
In addition to his physical injuries, Aquino was also transferred to the National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong City for mental evaluation. Meanwhile, the owner of the motorcycle that Aquino landed on has decided not to file a criminal complaint against him and has taken responsibility for the repair of his damaged vehicle.
