Four members of a family from Madhya Pradesh tragically lost their lives in Rajasthan’s Bundi district in the early hours of Sunday when their car collided with a truck on National Highway 52, as reported by the police. The incident took place around 12.30 am near Hindoli town in the Hindoli police station area. The victims were on their way to Pushkar when the accident occurred.
The deceased have been identified as Devi Singh (50), his wife Maankhor Kanwar (45), his brother Rajaram (40), and nephew Jitendra (20). All four were residents of Gangukhedi village in Agar-Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
According to Circle Inspector Manoj Sikarwal of Hindoli police station, the SUV carrying the family members was traveling at a high speed when it crashed into the heavy-duty truck from behind. It appears that the truck suddenly applied its brakes, causing the SUV to collide with it.
Tragically, three individuals died on the spot, while the woman succumbed to her injuries during treatment at a hospital on Sunday morning. The truck driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Efforts are currently underway to apprehend the driver.
The bodies of the deceased have been taken to a mortuary, and post-mortem examinations will be conducted later in the day once their family members arrive. This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for responsible driving to prevent such tragic accidents from occurring..
