Singh, a resident of Parel, left behind his grieving parents. The Worli police have filed an accidental death report (ADR) and are currently investigating the reasons behind this drastic act.
According to the police, Singh hailed a cab from Bandra and was headed towards Worli. At around 8:15 pm, while on the south-bound stretch of the sea link, Singh asked the taxi driver to stop the car as his mobile phone had fallen. The driver complied with his request and stopped the vehicle. Shockingly, within seconds, the driver witnessed Singh leaping into the sea from the railings. Immediately, the driver alerted the toll naka officials and the police. The police, along with local fishermen, initiated a search operation. Finally, Singh’s body was found around 12:15 am.
After retrieving the body, Singh was rushed to Bhabha Hospital in Bandra, where he was unfortunately declared dead. The police were able to identify him through his wallet and contacted his relatives. They informed the police that Singh had been leading a good life until recently, when he was deeply upset following a breakup with his girlfriend.
