Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in Henry County, Alabama
A man from Blacksburg, South Carolina was tragically killed in an incident involving law enforcement officers in Henry County, Alabama, as reported by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
According to ALEA, on November 7 at 11:45 a.m., officers from the Eufala Police Department and deputies from the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office initiated a pursuit that extended into Henry County. In response, deputies from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office were called in to provide assistance.
The pursuit continued through the city of Headland, where the driver eventually crashed his vehicle and brandished a firearm.
Tragically, the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Cameron Alan Eaton from Blacksburg, sustained fatal injuries during the incident.
Fortunately, no law enforcement officers were harmed during the course of this event.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and all findings will be submitted to the Henry County District Attorney’s Office for further review.
