The incident occurred on November 6 at the intersection of Redlands Boulevard and Anderson Avenue at around 12:25 p.m. The victims and the suspect, who was driving a black Honda Civic, found themselves stopped next to each other. It was during this encounter that the suspect, in a threatening manner, pointed a black handgun at the victims, causing them to fear for their lives.
Following a thorough investigation, deputies were able to determine that the vehicle involved in the incident belonged to Orlando Iniquez, a 24-year-old resident of San Bernardino. Iniquez was positively identified as the individual who allegedly pointed the firearm at the victims. As part of their investigation, detectives from the Central Station executed multiple search warrants, resulting in the recovery of three firearms that were registered to Iniquez.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Iniquez turned himself in at the Central Detention Center. He was subsequently booked for his active arrest warrant, which charged him with assault with a deadly weapon. To ensure his appearance in court, Iniquez was being held in custody in lieu of $250,000 bail.
