BRADENTON, Fla. –
A double homicide investigation is currently being conducted at a recreational vehicle (RV) park in Bradenton by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
According to detectives, the Arbor Terrace RV Park, located on 55th Avenue Terrace West, became the scene of the investigation at approximately 12:05 p.m. on Friday. The authorities were alerted to a disturbance within a mobile home after hearing a woman’s cries for help.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the lifeless bodies of a man and a woman inside the mobile home, as stated by the investigators.
Shortly after the deputies’ arrival, one of them caught sight of a man fleeing the scene. Authorities managed to apprehend the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Thomas Matejcek, along 14th Street West and subsequently took him into custody.
Detectives are currently conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the double homicide and the nature of the relationship between the victims and the suspect. The authorities have emphasized that this incident appears to be isolated.
