A 63-year-old woman named Dena Scripture from Connersville, Indiana was apprehended by the Connersville Police Department on Thursday afternoon for allegedly making threats towards several schools on social media. The police were alerted to the situation after receiving multiple reports regarding the threats that were posted on Facebook by Scripture. As a result, for the safety of the students and staff, the Fayette County School Corporation decided to cancel or suspend various school activities while law enforcement authorities investigated the source and seriousness of the threats.
To determine the identity of the individual behind the threatening Facebook profile, the Connersville Police Department took action by executing a search warrant at a residence where Scripture was said to be staying. During the search, law enforcement officials discovered multiple narcotics and drug paraphernalia. However, no weapons or ammunition were found on the premises.
Subsequently, Scripture was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat, which is classified as a level 5 felony, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, which is a misdemeanor offense.
