Arrest Made in Kinney County Human Smuggling Case
KINNEY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) – A traffic stop conducted by Texas Department of Public Safety troopers has resulted in the arrest of a man from Pasadena, who is accused of smuggling seven undocumented immigrants.
The incident occurred on November 3rd on RR 334 in Kinney County, Texas. Dashcam footage captured the entire event.
The driver, identified as Francisco Alanis Jr., was apprehended by the state trooper after suspicion of his involvement in human smuggling arose.
During the traffic stop, the state trooper observed four individuals fleeing from the scene, indicating their possible involvement in the smuggling operation.
Additionally, law enforcement officers encountered resistance from one of the passengers while attempting to apprehend them.
The investigation led to the arrest of Francisco Alanis Jr., who is confirmed to be a member of the Tango Blast gang. Alanis now faces charges related to human smuggling.
Another individual, J. Isabel De Nova Bautista, an undocumented migrant from Mexico, was also detained and charged with evading and resisting arrest.
Authorities have revealed that the undocumented migrants were being transported to Houston, with two children, aged 7 and 9, destined for California.
