Toronto police will provide an update this morning on their investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred in the city’s Greektown area during the summer. The incident took place on July 23 and resulted in the tragic death of twenty-nine-year-old Shemar Powell-Flowers. Powell-Flowers was struck by a bullet when a firearm was discharged during an altercation near Danforth and Carlaw avenues. Despite being rushed to the hospital for treatment, he unfortunately passed away shortly after.
In connection with the incident, one suspect has already been identified and charged with second-degree murder. The suspect, Mohamud Farah, is 34 years old. However, the police are still searching for another suspect in relation to this case. A Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder has been issued for this individual.
