The U.S. Attorney’s Office has charged three suspects with allegedly operating a sex trafficking ring that targeted teenage girls in San Bernardino County. The operation was reportedly conducted out of Ace Care Massage Parlor in Redlands. The suspects include Ji Ryang Chae, also known as “Chae Yu” and “BB,” who managed the parlor and resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jasmine Dakota Beverly, also known as “Bbybegirl,” served as the manager-in-training and currently lives in Costa Mesa. Earnest Akindele Teamer, also known as “Scooby,” “Splash,” and “$koobystacks,” acted as a recruiter for Ace Care and resided in Redlands.
According to authorities, Beverly provided transportation for two victims, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl. As recruiters, Beverly allegedly took $10 from the 15-year-old girl for each customer she saw, while Teamer allegedly collected $200 per week from the same victim. Chae, as the manager of Ace Care, reportedly required workers to pay “rent” in exchange for condoms, cleaning supplies, and a place to work. Chae also collected approximately $2,000 per month in “rent” from the 15-year-old victim.
The indictment also alleges that Teamer acted as a “pimp” for the 14-year-old girl and collected the proceeds from her work. Additionally, Teamer is accused of producing a video of himself engaging in sexual activity with the 15-year-old girl.
All three suspects have been charged with conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking of a minor. Chae was arrested on November 3 and made her first court appearance in Denver. Teamer, who was arrested on July 27, remains in federal custody without bond. Beverly was arrested on August 3 and was released on $15,000 bond. Both Beverly and Teamer have pleaded not guilty to their charges, and a trial date is scheduled for June 18, 2024.
Furthermore, Teamer faces additional charges in a separate indictment, including transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, production of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and receipt of child pornography. Teamer has pleaded not guilty to these charges as well, and a trial hearing is set for March 5, 2024.
If convicted on all counts, the suspects could face up to life in prison. At a minimum, Chae and Beverly could face at least 10 years in prison, while Teamer could face at least 15 years. The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Redlands Police Department..
