The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 8, when the police officer suffered sudden chest pains while manning the KCSE examinations in Bomet County. His supervisor immediately sought guidance from the authorities and arrangements were made to rush the officer to the hospital. However, despite the quick replacement, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Bomet County Police Commandant Robinson Ndiwa expressed his sadness over the officer’s death. He described the officer as a diligent individual who had been full of life and had interacted with his colleagues without showing any signs of ill health before the start of the KCSE examinations.
In another unfortunate incident, residents of Kirinyaga County were left shocked and bewildered after a police officer was found dead with his body badly mutilated. The officer, identified as Timothy Mwangi Ciira, was based in Nairobi but his remains were discovered in a coffee plantation near his house. It was unclear why he was not at his workplace in Embakasi and he had previously expressed concerns about his life to his brother.

The officer, Police Constable Collins Etyang, had tried to leave the school without his rifle, causing panic among the teachers.
