Dane Rashford, the brother of soccer star Marcus Rashford, has been accused of physically assaulting his girlfriend at a hotel in Miami Beach. The incident occurred in the early hours of October 20th, when hotel staff noticed a woman with a bloodied nose in the lobby. Police were called to the scene and heard a heated argument between Dane Rashford and his girlfriend, Andrea Pocrnja. According to the police report, Rashford had gone through Pocrnja’s phone and discovered text messages from another man. Rashford admitted to pushing Pocrnja while they were in an Uber, and then took her phone and walked away. Once they were in their hotel room, a verbal argument escalated into physical violence, with Pocrnja alleging that Rashford struck her in the face twice with a closed fist. Pocrnja’s injuries were visible and she was treated by a first responder. Rashford’s sister, who was babysitting their child, witnessed the altercation but did not see Rashford physically assault Pocrnja. Rashford was taken to jail and later released on bond. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge of misdemeanor battery and is set to appear in court on November 27th. The assistant state prosecutor is uncertain of Rashford’s current whereabouts, as he may have left the United States. Rashford, who plays for Manchester United, has recently faced criticism for his behavior both on and off the field..
